Parent Teacher Organization
|
Founded in 1997 by a small group of parents passionate about
providing the best Montessori environment possible for their
children, the Harbour Oaks PTO is dedicated to working together to provide the best Montessori environment possible for our children.
With the phenomenal growth of the school in the last few years,
the PTO has benefited through increased volunteerism, a larger
scope of projects and celebrations throughout the classrooms and
growing family donations.
Why should you get involved? As with any experience, you'll get out of it what you put into it. Jump in and volunteer to read to the children, help out in the classroom or serve on a committee. There's plenty of room for everyone. You'll make some great new friends and your children will be proud to see you involved. Per the school handbook, each family is required to earn
20 volunteer hours per school year. (Please be sure to record your volunteer hours in the notebook in the main building's lobby.) Watch for notes requesting help on the front door, or call someone in the PTO and offer your assistance.
Fundraising
The PTO's success is directly
proportional to the amount of parent involvement we have. This is an
incredible school and a wonderful opportunity for our children to grow
and think outside the box. Ms. Anna, Ms. Katy and all the HOMS teachers work so hard to
provide such a strong,
positive experience for our children. Let's show our support for them by
continuing the growth of the PTO!
